Job Summary

As an Industrial Engineer Analyst, you will assist in providing industrial engineering support across all store operations within Giant Eagle, with a focus on optimizing work processes and overall operating expense.

THIS IS A REMOTE ROLE BUT MUST BE BASED IN COLUMBUS, OHIO MARKET TO TRAVEL TO LOCAL GIANT EAGLE STORES FOR TIME IN MOTION STUDIES

Key Competencies:

  • Experience Required: 0 to 6 months work experience in an industrial engineering(labor management analyst) capacity preferred
  • Experience Desired: Retail industry experience
  • Education Desired: Bachelors Degree, Industrial Engineering
  • Travel Required: 50% travel to surrounding Cleveland, OH Giant Eagle stores for time in motion studies
  • Technical Skills Required: MS Excel at advanced level including the use of advanced formulas, VlookUP, Pivot tables, experience using macros would be asset
  • Experience desired: Previous experience using workforce management software such as Logile Labor Management tool, Kronos (scheduling, time & attendance software)

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional project teams.
  • Maintain labor management systems across all operations.
  • Develop, validate and maintain engineered standards through MOST, a predetermined motion time system, and time study methodology.
  • Complete various studies, including work sampling, standards development and queue and congestion studies.
  • Support and conduct analysis to determine improvement opportunities.
  • Take responsibility for method and workflow improvement identification.
