Job description

The Pre-Sales Engineer serves as the technical resource for all sales efforts including but not limited to pre-sales calls selling total solutions, sales template management, and creation, as well as technical resolution of issues during the sales process. This position is expected to be technically competent in all product offerings in relation to competitive software platforms and offerings.

Integrated Solutions works with U.S. federal and defense contractors, many of whom are small and mid-sized businesses in aerospace, manufacturing, or technology, to implement and manage IT systems and security controls that support compliance requirements.

The Pre-Sales Engineer plays a critical role in aligning customer use cases and requirements with C3’s product catalog by identifying, tailoring, and proposing technical solutions to support our clients’ desired compliance outcomes

What You'll Do:

Scoping

  • Support the pre-sales process and work with the sales team to identify customer needs.
  • Full technical life cycle support for the sales process, including but not limited to:
  • Discovery with a prospect or an existing client
  • Proposal Build and or change order build,
  • Defining and the creation of a Custom Statement of work
  • Understanding and explain the components for proposal build:
  • Licensing for Microsoft Commercial, GCC, and GCC High
  • Labor and the multiple types of consulting

Technical Solutioning and Presentation

  • Conduct client discovery calls with the sales team.
  • Lead and participate in presales activities including client discovery calls, technical solutioning, and the presentation of proposed solutions.
  • Support the C3 sales process by consulting with customer stakeholders to answer technical questions related to C3 services and solutions.
  • Create price modeling with the Azure Pricing Calculator
  • Understand and articulate price modeling for Storage types including Blob Storage, Azure Files, Azure virtual machines, Azure Virtual Desktop

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Support the Sales team by developing and maintaining subject matter expertise in the following areas:
  • Compliance requirements for the U.S. Defense Industrial Base
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services, security service edge (Zscaler ZIA and ZPA), and best practices for network design in cloud-native and hybrid environments
  • C3 positioning relative competitors’ solutions and alternative approaches to managed IT services and compliance.
  • Escalations within the sales engineering Team.
  • Ability to demonstrate and articulate the different solutions we provide customers with best practices and industry standards.
  • Independently develop SOW and quotes based on client discovery calls and customer needs.
  • Drive the quote process internally and work with other business units as needed.
  • Support the sales team with all technical-related queries.
  • Use Business value selling methodologies, practices, and technologies that strategically determine and drive complex customer-relevant technical solutions (e.g. Design Thinking, Business Value Engineering, Challenger sales, etc.).
  • Resident expert on Microsoft products as well as competitors and related ecosystems.

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in presales engineering or technical roles within IT, cybersecurity, or compliance
  • Experience with these Products: AvePoint, KnowBe4, Cisco Umbrella, My SonicWall
  • Good knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Clustering, Load Balancing, Anti-virus, backup procedures, Group Policy, Disaster Recovery, and High availability using industry standards.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical and compliance concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Contemporary knowledge of cloud architecture, including experience designing and deploying networks in cloud-native and hybrid environments
  • Strong general knowledge of IT systems, including servers, virtualization, authentication and identity services, and endpoint management.

Desired Characteristics

  • Compliance professional certifications such as Microsoft certifications
  • Experience leveraging Microsoft cloud services (Azure, Office 365) to meet compliance requirements, especially in Azure Government and Microsoft 365 GCC High environments.
  • Academic degree, preferably in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant field.

This a remote position with minimal travel.
