Role: The Technical Pre-Sales Consultant will work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Pre-Sales, Sales and Business Analysts. Reporting to the Manager of Pre-Sales Consulting, the Technical Sales Consultant is a key member of the sales team responsible for defining and developing configuration that illustrates the key differentiators and end to end functionality for Equisoft’s insurance products and services to target markets. The Pre-Sales Technical Consultant will analyze business requirements and use cases to build out valuable reusable product configuration during multi-step complex sale pursuits to be used in presentations, system demonstrations, and detailed proof of concept phases. Responsible for advancing the demonstrable artifacts to showcase the benefits and value add of our software. The candidate thrives in a deadline-focused environment, where taking the initiative, clear communication and flexibility are critical.

Your Day with Equisoft:   

  • Develop business processes in rapid fashion as part of a sale process to support demo requirements
  • Create prototypes and proof of concepts using Python and other scripting mechanisms available through the Equisoft platform
  • Script Insurance product features (such as calculations)
  • Load insurance product rates and define insurance product parameters
  • Keep up with the latest technological and software development trends
  • Maintain and grow the insurance industry and technical knowledge competencies
  • Work closely with the Pre-Sales team, product owners and other analysts to understand functional specifications
  • Innovate and collaborate within the team, leading by example through communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

Requirements:   

Technical  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Technology or College Diploma combined to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Developer
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong deadlines and shifting priorities while supporting parallel opportunities globally
  • Solid understanding of backend development concepts and experience with server-side technologies 
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize activities effectively. 
  • Passion for learning and staying updated on the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in web development. 
  • Strong understanding of SQL and general database concepts (query building and optimization)
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Spanish (spoken and written)
