Job Description
We are seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer with great communication skills and an understanding of the enterprise private and hybrid cloud industry to help our company grow. The pre-sales engineer will execute and manage the presales process, being involved in prospect qualification, performing product demonstrations, responding to RFQ/RFPs as well as taking ownership of PoCs and product evaluations. To excel in this role, you need to be a motivated self-starter, who exhibits an insatiable curiosity about what “is possible” with technology, loves solving challenging problems and working directly with customers.
As a Pre-Sales Engineer you will work closely across various company activities such as product development, sales and marketing, and customer relations. Your job will also include understanding the customer’s needs, actively observing customer behavior and predicting future needs for product development.
Responsibilities

Preparation of presentations, demos, use cases, solutions and discussions about OpenNebula.
- Speaking and demonstrating OpenNebula in events
- Driving high levels of engagement through solution positioning and RFQ/RFP responses focused on the detailed feature-set capabilities and highlighting the business value of the solution.
- Conducting discovery sessions with prospects, partners and customers to understand their current cloud deployment and challenges, as well as their future objectives and goals.
- Qualifying business alignment and technical fit between prospect, customer and partner requirements and OpenNebula product and services
- Designing and supervising Proof of Concepts (PoCs) with OpenNebula
- Keeping up with the latest industry developments, including market positioning of corporate competitors
- Developing and nurturing relationships with key customer accounts
Experience Required
-
3+ years of Experience as a Presales Engineer.
- 3+ years overall IT/development Background.
- Experience in RFP’s and RFI’s, POCs.
- Experience working with global customers.
- Good interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation
- Analytical skills and the ability to recognize the demands on the side of the clients.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering
- Advanced administration of Linux environments: RHEL/AlmaLinux, Ubuntu/Debian
- Virtualization: KVM, LXC, libvirt/QEMU, VMware
- Demonstrated technical writing skills (in english)
