  • Manage and develop a small team of analysts while serving as a thought partner to the CFO and executive team.

 We are currently seeking a Director, FP&A to join our team. We are a completely remote company! 


 The Director, FP&A will play a key role in driving financial strategy, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making across the company. As a growth-oriented SaaS business, we are looking for someone who can balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, helping to scale financial operations and provide insights that drive performance.  

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting 
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly reforecasts, and long-range financial planning. 
  • Partner with department heads to develop operational plans and align resource allocation with strategic priorities. 
  • Build and maintain complex SaaS financial models including revenue forecasting, CAC, LTV, churn, and cohort analysis. 
  • Reporting & Analysis 
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis and performance dashboards for executive leadership and the Board of Directors. 
  • Provide insights into key business drivers, risks, and opportunities. 
  • Track and analyze SaaS KPIs (MRR/ARR, Net Dollar Retention, CAC Payback, Gross Margin, etc.). 
  • Business Partnership 
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to support strategic initiatives and optimize ROI. 
  • Develop pricing and go-to-market analysis to support growth strategies. 
  • Lead the financial evaluation of strategic initiatives, including new product launches, market expansion, and partnerships. 
  • Process Improvement 
  • Implement and improve financial systems, tools, and processes to increase scalability, accuracy, and efficiency. 
  • Drive automation of reporting and data consolidation across systems such as Salesforce, Sage Intacct, and SaaS metrics tools (e.g., Maxio). 
  • Leadership & Team Development 
  • Manage and develop a small team of analysts; recruit and scale the FP&A function as the business grows. 
  • Serve as a thought partner to the CFO and executive team. 

REQUIRED SKILLS 

  • Excellent FP&A and Financial Analysis skills 
  • Excellent budgeting and forecasting skillset 
  • Excellent modelling skillset 
  • Due diligence experience 
  • Understanding of basic accounting practices 
  • Experience with SaaS based planning platforms 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related experience in a related field  
  • MBA or CPA preferred 
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, including at least 3 years in a SaaS or subscription-based business. 
  • 3+ years’ experience in leading and building out a finance function. 
  • 3+ years’ experience managing a remote team 
  • Deep understanding of SaaS metrics and unit economics. 
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills; experience with FP&A tools like Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, or Mosaic is a plus. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data to senior stakeholders in a clear, actionable way. 
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a proactive, problem-solving mindset. 
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. 
Salary Description
$175-$185K
