CRM Manager- SLATE


 

J O B  S U M M A R Y


The CRM Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Global Enrollment Department’s strategic goals through effective use of Technolutions Slate CRM. Reporting to the Sr Director of Enrollment Operations, this position serves as a bridge between admissions business processes and technological solutions—analyzing outreach and admissions needs, designing and implementing efficient workflows, and ensuring seamless data management to support the student lifecycle from inquiry to enrollment.


The CRM Manager partners closely with functional teams across undergraduate, graduate, and global recruitment to translate business needs into scalable Slate solutions. This individual also works in close collaboration with the Sr Director to implement system enhancements, launch new Slate features, and evaluate innovations that support institutional enrollment goals. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Slate workflow development, configuration and reporting, as well as hands-on experience in admissions practices and strong technical aptitude.


E S S E N T I A L   J O B   F U N C T I O N S  / D U T I E S


Slate CRM Enhancements

  • Serve as a functional expert in Slate CRM, supporting the ongoing configuration, enhancement, and documentation of processes that facilitate the full admissions and recruitment lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the Sr Director to design, prioritize, and implement feature requests and enhancements that align with the strategic vision of the Global Enrollment team.
  • Launch and maintain new academic programs and partnerships in Slate, ensuring application, communication, and decision processes are configured and integrated effectively.
  • Support new system initiatives and updates, including cycle prep, data structure reviews, prompt and field changes, and portal redesigns.

Business Process Translation & Optimization

  • Evaluate admissions and recruitment business processes and translate them into effective, scalable solutions within slate.
  • Develop tools and workflows that streamline operations, improve applicant experience, and increase team efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and user guides for end users across admissions, outreach, and operations teams.
  • Create knowledge resources and tools to empower users in self-service reporting, query writing, and system navigation.

Workflow Design, Maintenance & Troubleshooting


  • Build, test, and maintain workflows (rules, triggers, decision logic, forms, checklists, and reader bins) to support application review, decision release, and communication strategies.
  • Troubleshoot errors and performance issues related to workflows, data integrity, and user interface logic. Provide timely solutions and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Conduct proactive audits to assess the health and efficiency of workflows and recommend optimization strategies.

Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide regular and actionable insights on staff activities and outreach, lead generation, applicant progression, and yield performance. 
  • Ensure quality assurance through rigorous testing, data validation, and error resolution in coordination with the Sr Director and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2-3 years demonstrated experience implementing, managing and enhancing workflows, and new features in Technolutions Slate CRM.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in college admissions, recruitment, or enrollment management.
  • Strong track record of proactively identifying issues and driving solutions in fluid and evolving situations.
  • Strong understanding of admissions cycles, recruitment strategies, and enrollment processes within higher education.
  • Background in assessing business needs, map workflows, and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Experience with report building, data structures, and executing feature requests and enhancements in Slate. 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, communicate clearly with non-technical users, and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Knowledge of SQL, HTML, or scripting languages is a plus.
Salary Description
$60,000 to $65,000
