Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule:
  • 37.5 hours per week, 8 am - 4 pm AEST, 30min unpaid break

Responsibilities
  • Answer and manage incoming calls, scheduling and confirming patient appointments
  • Monitor and respond to emails promptly
  • Maintain patient records
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing patient records and saving documents from emails
  • Assist with the preparation of medico-legal appointments and reports
  • Debtor Management - follow up on outstanding appointment fees
  • Provide general administrative support during downtime
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to data security protocols
  • Handle approximately 130 calls per month, with varying daily volumes
  • Manage both general practice and medical legal administrative tasks
  • Collaborate directly with clinic owners and part-time nurse

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist, minimum of two years
  • Familiarity with medical practice management software, preferably Best Practice
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and data security practices
  • Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new software systems
