Job description

Position Summary

The Director, Marketing Indication Lead drives the Company’s first ever commercial line extension(s) for imetelstat and maximizes the ongoing commercialization of current MDS indication in the US. The Director is responsible for lifecycle management/go-to-market approach by partnering with the core and extended cross-functional teams to ensure preparedness and alignment to marketing strategy in advance of line extension approval for new indications.

This position is remote with a corporate headquarters in Foster City, CA and Parsippany, NJ. The Director, Marketing Indication Lead reports to the Executive Director, Marketing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing on integrated pre-launch/launch plan, including development of launch tactics (branding, positioning, messaging, tactics, etc.) with Agencies of Records (AOR)
  • Lead specific marketing projects, such as speaker programs, congress presence, medical expert engagement, etc., including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Responsible for the management and oversight of the promotional budget 
  • Actively participate in cross-functional launch planning meetings, including core and extended team meetings 
  • Provide senior leadership updates on launch readiness
  • Champion collaboration across departments and field-based teams to develop integrated strategies and solutions for patients and providers aligned to brand strategy
  • Build and maintain strong thought leader relationships
  • Leverage best practices from prior experience while continually fostering a learning culture

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or related discipline required; advanced degree a plus
  • 9 to 12 years of progressive experience in marketing function in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry; or equivalent years of relevant experience within healthcare agency
  • Experience with developing and executing marketing tactics and interactions with sales teams
  • Experience in managing multiple external agencies efficiently and effectively

Salary Statement:

Offered compensation is determined based on market data, internal equity, and an applicant’s relevant skills, experience, and educational background.  The salary ranges displayed below are only for those who, if selected for the role, will perform work in the specific locations listed.  Please note the employment opportunity is not limited to these locations. 

General Salary Range: $215,000 to $230,000
