Job description

Role Summary -

Meal Ticket is seeking a proactive and driven Business Development Manager for it’s Distribution Solutions division with a strong focus on lead generation. In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying and nurturing potential business opportunities within the foodservice distribution industry. Your primary responsibility will be to generate high-quality leads and set the stage for successful sales engagements.

 

What you will do -

  • Lead Generation Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive lead generation strategies tailored to the foodservice distribution industry. This includes leveraging digital marketing, content marketing, social media, and other channels to attract potential clients.
  • Targeted Outreach: Identify key decision-makers within target companies and initiate contact through personalized and strategic outreach efforts. Use a mix of email campaigns, cold calling, networking, and other techniques to engage potential clients.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth research to identify and prioritize potential leads within the foodservice distribution sector. Analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer pain points to refine lead generation efforts.
  • Data Management: Utilize CRM tools to track, manage, and nurture leads throughout the sales funnel. Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all lead interactions and progress.
  • Partnerships & Networking: Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and build relationships that can generate new leads. Explore and establish partnerships with complementary businesses to expand lead sources.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of lead generation campaigns. Report on key metrics such as conversion rates, cost per lead, and overall lead quality. Adjust strategies as needed to improve results.
  • Client Engagement: Qualify leads and ensure a smooth transition to the sales team. Work closely with sales to ensure that leads are properly handed off and followed up on, maximizing conversion opportunities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry developments and new lead generation techniques. Continuously refine and improve lead generation strategies to stay ahead of the competition.

What you will bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Relevant certifications in lead generation or digital marketing are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in lead generation, business development, or sales within the software industry. Experience in the foodservice distribution industry is highly desirable.
  • Lead Generation Expertise: Proven ability to develop and execute successful lead generation strategies. Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM systems, and lead nurturing techniques.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and engage potential clients effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess the effectiveness of lead generation campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and communicate complex software solutions to a non-technical audience.
  • Self-Motivation: Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to attend industry events and meet with potential leads.

Pay & Benefits -

The base salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skills and scope required, relevant licensure and certifications, and unique relevant experience and job-related skills.
