Summary:
Within the Mobility division, develop, direct & coordinate customer-facing activities for Marine sub-division, which includes original equipment and after-market services. Lead & coordinate customer facing activities. Advise international sales team and set framework for activities. Participate on global marine management team. Define & oversee growth strategy for marine subdivision. Manage North America (including Central America) marine organization. Lead regional innovation & product strategy. Manage talent and succession planning.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate customer facing activities, including After Market Business and achieve result agreed for the Marine Division, consulting an international sales team and setting the framework in terms of order intake and sales activities.
- Build and maintain contact and close relationships with key customers in the sub-region.
- Define & implement a profitable growth strategy for Marine Division; coordinate sub-regional strategy.
- Actively track and report on the progress of the business plan using agreed KPI’s; implement changes as required to meet or exceed objective.
- Train and control sales representatives in the Marine Division regarding Voith Risk Management Guidelines
- Responsible for OTO activities (with limitations set out in the section “decision-making powers” below) and OTD activities in the sub-region in coordination with the BSO (Business Support Organization)
- Liaise closely with BSO for adequate and optimized resource allocations, value addition resources (local footprint) within the sub-region; identify and execute opportunities for improvement with the BSO organization.
- Manage and motivate a functional Marine Division (across BUs); provide guidance to an international sales team including agents in the sub-region; manage talent and succession planning; identify and coach high potentials and local talent.
- Drive After Market Business excellence in the sub-region to meet the needs of our customers and support the profitability of Marine Department.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Naval Architecture, Naval Engineering or related required.
- 5 years or more related experience managing sales projects within the marine industry.
