Overview

This role is an addition to Crosslake’s team of practitioners serving our clients with their investments and acquisitions. The objective of this role is to enhance our analytical capabilities and enrich our deliverables with quantified evidence of financial and operating performance. This role is intended to become an integral part of our teams working client engagements and interact extensively with various Crosslake teams and clients.

Role responsibilities

Business and Financial Analytics: Analysis of P&L and other financial statements to evaluate

- Companies spend on R&D, hosting, labor

- Revenue composition and trends, and margin trends

Organizational Analytics

- Analyze org structure and census to profile the organization by roles, geo footprint, compensation, tenure, attrition

Operational analytics:

- Analyze key performance indicators and metrics related to key processes for a software / tech company – such as product development predictability, productivity, quality

Perform relevant benchmarking for categories above

Participate in sessions with clients to request the necessary data and conduct necessary interviews

Develop presentations depicting the analysis results

Collaborate with other team members to integrate the analysis into the overall deliverables

Requirements

Expert level Excel capabilities

Strong Analytical mindset

Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.

Comfortable presenting data and insights in a clear, structured way for different audiences.

The ability to build Powerpoint charts/stories to technical and non-technical audiences

Understanding of software industry and financials and operations of a software company

Understanding of Mergers & Acquisitions process (Preferred but not required)
