Primary Purpose

Reporting into the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition (TA) Specialist is responsible for proactively sourcing talent for targeted openings by sourcing from expansive networks in clinical research. Assists the department with overseeing the execution of strategy within growth regions, and builds, strengthens, and expands key business relationships with vendors, universities, and networks of talent to build out internal referral programs including internships.

Responsibilities

  • Works in collaboration with Project Leaders and Functional Group Managers to manage the internal and external deployment of talent in accordance with agreed upon time to fill requirements
  • Leads recruitment for select requisitions with a key focus on building talent pipelines and the candidate experience
  • Updates Taleo Business Edition (TBE), the applicant tracking system (ATS), consistently and compliantly
  • Coordinates select recruiting events including annual conferences, career fairs, and open houses
  • Identifies and recommends new resources and strategies to draw in difficult to source talent
  • Follows non-discriminatory, legally compliant, and ethically based established company policies
  • Develops a deep bench of biomedical, pharmaceutical, and contract research fields to build pipelines of talent
  • Identifies pipelines of talent according to regions targeted for business growth
  • Works collaboratively across human resources teams on shared priorities and objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology or a related field plus 3 or more years total of progressive experience in a talent acquisition role with direct accountability for managing requisitions, preferably within a technical recruiting environment
  • SHRM, PHR, or a related talent acquisition certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred
  • Prior work history utilizing creative sourcing tools and techniques such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Twitter, Facebook and International Forums or Associations to attract prospective candidates
  • Experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS), iCIMS preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws required to adhere to best government contractor recruitment standards including OFCCP recruitment compliance and executive
  • Demonstrated interviewing and assessment skills with the ability to represent the company, explain work environment, benefits package and develop a customized approach for prospective candidates
  • Proficiency and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in written and spoken English required, fluency in a secondary language desired
  • Ability to work independently and to effectively manage time and priorities of self with awareness and understanding of asking good questions to manage expectations of others
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, human resources data management, and proactive mindset with a high level of discretion and confidentiality required
