JOB MISSION:
The Regional Talent Development Partner will be responsible for utilising global talent strategies to create and implement a learning and development strategy for our retail business in EMEA. The strategy will support and enhance the organisation’s business goals, enable associate growth and build high performance talent for the future. This role encompasses tailoring the design of global programmes, creation of programmes where global offerings don’t meet local or regional needs, along with delivery and evaluation of impactful learning and development experiences.
Reporting to the Regional Talent Development Manager EMEA, the scope of this role covers associates across Europe in our retail division and will work closely with the Global Talent Centre of Excellence and the Retail Training Manager EMEA to leverage resources and share best practice
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Create and implement a regional retail talent development strategy to promote a high performing workforce with the capabilities needed now and in the future.
Develop strong connections and work closely with the Global Talent COE and to utilise/leverage resources for the region and the Regional Retail Training Manager to align on needs and solutions.
Provide input to the Global Talent Team to ensure regional needs are recognised and considered in global programmes.
Support the regional DE&I strategy in ensuring that this important work reaches our Retail population.
Work closely with the HR team and managers throughout the region to identify regional talent requirements.
Partner with the HR BP team in their work to develop succession and career plans which meet future business needs.
Serve as an internal consultant to the retail business on talent and development topics.
Conduct needs assessments, set measurable objectives and provide date driven recommendations for regional learning topics, curriculums and solutions.
Stay updated on trends in learning and talent management and continuously develop knowledge base of concepts, models and approaches.
Creatively design and deliver modern learning programmes and experiences in a variety of formats including self-directed, instructor-led, digital, networking, mentoring, integrated to the flow of work, ‘train the trainer’ and blended approaches.
Develop, implement and deliver programmes which effectively support and enhance business objectives and reinforce the company’s mission and culture.
Work with department managers to continually reinforce goals of training programmes.
Budget management and sourcing of external funding where appropriate.
Provide on-going reporting and data on training uptake, knowledge transfer, associate learning experience, business impact and return on investment to inform decision making.
Share best practice with Talent Development Partners from other regions.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
Experience working in a large, global, matrixed organisation with a center of excellence model for talent development, ideally in a retail organisation.
Experience in working in designing, developing and delivering training in a retail environment.
Experience in translating high level business strategies into training and organisational development programmes.
Ideally degree educated in fields such as psychology, HR, learning, organisational development, business and management.
Knowledge of learning theory, needs analysis, modern learning formats, learning design and evaluation methodology.
Demonstrated experience delivering learning experiences through a variety of formats including in person instructor led; virtual instructor led; self-directed learning paths and advanced facilitation.
Highly influential, engaging and persuasive in communications. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Systematic, structured approach with a focus on delivering results.
Experience of operating in a European environment is essential.
Ability to travel as needed.
