This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • 20 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, flexible between 9AM to 5PM Chicago, IL

Job Description

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and tech-savvy Admin Assistant to play a crucial role in our mission to destigmatize mental health in urban communities. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of mental health advocacy and hip-hop culture, contributing to groundbreaking events and initiatives. As our Admin Assistant, you’ll be at the forefront of our outreach efforts, connecting with key partners, driving ticket sales for our showcase events, and supporting various aspects of our operations. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about making a difference in mental health awareness.

Responsibilities
  • Spearhead email outreach campaigns to mental health professionals, potential partners, and community leaders
  • Make engaging sales calls to promote and sell tickets for our upcoming showcase events
  • Assist in securing sponsorships for our innovative mental health awareness events
  • Manage administrative tasks related to event planning, grant writing/research, partner outreach, and day-to-day operations
  • Collaborate with our social media team to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms
  • Provide basic Social Media and Graphic Design assistance
  • Research and identify potential organizational partners, including insurance companies and mental health providers
Requirements
  • Proven experience in admin assistance including grant writing and research
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with email platforms and general computer skills
  • Basic Social Media management skills and graphic design (Canva)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively over the phone
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow pre-written scripts accurately
  • Basic understanding of mental health topics and urban community issues (additional training will be provided)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Passion for mental health advocacy and interest in hip-hop culture is a plus
