About the Role:As a Director, you will play a key role in driving Apartment List’s growth strategy and enhancing both the renter and customer experience. In this highly visible position, you’ll focus on optimizing business performance, improving product integration with property management systems, and identifying opportunities for incremental revenue through strategic partnerships.
Your charter will be to create the best outcomes for renters, customers and Apartment List. Your role will be both strategic and technical, requiring you to manage and scale integration pipelines, collaborate with partners, and ensure alignment with business needs. You’ll leverage your technical expertise to understand integration landscapes, partner products, and roadmaps, and influence these based on company objectives.
In addition to driving internal growth initiatives, you’ll build and maintain external relationships with new and existing partners, staying connected to key players in the market and seeking out new partnership opportunities. This position requires strong operational, technical, analytical, and communication skills, combined with a proactive, "Get It Done" attitude.

- Team Growth & Development: You will lead, scale and mentor a high-performing team that is responsible for large strategic initiatives
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Strategy, Finance and Sales to drive growth and strategy
Here are the skills and experience you’ll need to be successful:
- You are a highly ambitious team player with 7+ years of consulting / business intelligence / strategy or high-growth operations / startup experience. Marketplace experience and/or proptech experience is a big plus
- You have a strategic mindset, and can factor in short term and long term thinking and goals
- You have a reputation for execution, and are willing to dive into a project and figure out how to get it done
- You are a problem solver, able to identify the root causes of changes in key metrics and run tests to validate your hypotheses
- You have exceptional Excel and data analysis skills - SQL experience is a big plus
- You have a “driver” personality - biased toward action, great collaborator, simplifier, and communicator - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery
- You are a strong communicator that is comfortable working and interacting with senior leadership, external partners, and a range of teams across the company

Here's The Pay Range
At Apartment List, we carefully consider a variety of factors to determine compensation for each position, including the role, level, and work. The US base salary range for this position is:
- Zone 1: $178,000 - $216,000 TTC (including $156,000 - $190,000 base salary) + equity
- Zone 2: $165,000 - $200,000 TTC (including $145,000 - $176,000 base salary) + equity
- Zone 3: $151,000 - $183,000 TTC (including $133,000 - $161,000 base salary) + equity
This reflects the compensation target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Please note, the compensation details provided do not include benefits and perks that we offer.
We also rely on market indicators along with considering your work location, job related skills, experience and relevant education and training, to determine compensation that is fair and competitive for you. Apartment List will consider paying compensation near the higher of the range in exceptional circumstances, where candidates have the experience, credentials or expertise that would warrant such consideration.
