LTSis seeking an experienced Chief Logistics Officer (CLO) to oversee the planning, coordination, and management of logistics functions to ensure the effective delivery of health services for military personnel. The CLO will be responsible for ensuring that medical supplies, equipment, personnel, and facilities are efficiently managed and readily available to support military operations and readiness.

Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and manage all logistics functions, including the supply chain, distribution of medical supplies and equipment, personnel deployment, and facilities management, to ensure optimal support for health readiness operations.
Develop and implement long-term logistics strategies to support the medical readiness needs, ensuring that logistical operations align with operational requirements and readiness goals.
Oversee the identification, procurement, and allocation of necessary resources (medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, personnel) to ensure military medical units and facilities maintain high levels of readiness at all times.
Create and enforce logistics policies, procedures, and standards that ensure the effective and timely delivery of medical supplies and services. Implement best practices for inventory control, resource management, and transportation logistics.
Manage logistics budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations while meeting the health readiness needs of the service branches. Oversee the management of medical stockpiles, including controlled substances and sensitive medical materials.
Work closely with military healthcare commands, medical professionals, and other DoD logistics officers to understand operational requirements and ensure that health logistics plans are aligned with mission needs.
Supervise the procurement, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment. Ensure accurate tracking and accountability of medical assets.
Oversee logistics support for deployable medical units, ensuring that resources are available and prepared for rapid deployment in a crisis or contingency situation.
Lead logistics support during crisis situations, ensuring that medical logistics operations can support emergency deployments, humanitarian assistance, and combat operations.
Ensure that comprehensive logistics reports are maintained and provided to senior DoD leadership. Use data analytics to monitor logistics performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with DoD regulations.
Provide leadership, guidance, and training to logistics staff, ensuring that they are fully trained on logistics protocols, systems, and the importance of their roles in supporting health readiness.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business administration, health management, or a related field.
Extensive experience in logistics, ideally within a military or healthcare logistics environment. Previous experience in military or government logistics is highly preferred.
Familiarity with DoD health readiness requirements, medical systems, and the specific logistical challenges of supporting military healthcare operations.
Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to coordinate complex logistics operations.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior leadership, medical personnel, and logistics teams.
Analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies, implement improvements, and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in logistics software, management systems, and data analytics tools.
