Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Healthcare Representative to join our team. This position is open to everyone, regardless of background, and offers flexibility of working from home. The ideal candidate will have up to 3 years of experience, with a preference for those familiar with Eligibility and Benefit Verification.
Responsibilities
Perform eligibility and benefit verification for healthcare claims.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of claims.
Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary information.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures.
Resolve discrepancies and issues related to eligibility and benefits.
Provide exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and workflows.
Utilize healthcare software and tools to manage claims efficiently.
Document all activities and communications accurately.
Adhere to company guidelines and compliance standards.
Participate in training sessions to stay current with industry changes.
Contribute to team meetings and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Support other team members as needed to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in healthcare software and tools such as Epic and similars.
Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of direct experience

Salary And Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until February 13, 2025.
The hourly rate for this position is between $16.00 – 19.00 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
