The Professional Learning Specialist is a pedagogical specialist, developing professional development for prospective and current clients. The goals of the Professional Learning department are to support change management for school districts, ensure content and product expertise for teachers and administrators, maintain customer feedback loop to the organization, and drive renewal sales of Core products.

 

Position Type: This is a regular, full-time position.

 

Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $63,410.00 and $70,000.00 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.

 

Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote from your home office; preferably in California.

 

Travel: You can also expect up to approximately 30-50% travel, so be sure you have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.

Envision Your Experience.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Collaborating with the Partner Success departments, focus on client experience by creating world-class professional development trainings that ensures client participants achieve the outcomes of the learning session. 
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in developing and organizing in-service and professional development trainings for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade Math, Science, ELA, and Social Studies. 
  • Effectively navigates multiple steps in the training development process demonstrating the ability to influence learning outcomes. 
  • Builds trust and credibility with teachers, staff, and district leaders by ensuring that training participants receive organized, exceptional professional development. 
  • Work collaboratively alongside other internal teams including Customer Service, Account Executives, and other Professional Development teams. 
  • Support a culture centered on partner success and develop processes that support the achievement of the business goals. 
  • Travel to deliver high quality professional development sessions to schools and districts – 30-50% possible travel. 
  • Other duties as required. 

 

Share Your Expertise.

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in developing, delivering, and improving meaningful professional learning experiences; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM applications required; experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Must have experience and subject matter expertise in one more Core subject/content areas. 
  • Ability to understand on-going market trends and align campaigns to relevant projects and programs. 
  • Knowledge of industry accepted best practices and tools. 
  • Strong multi-tasking, project management, and proactive problem-solving abilities. 
  • Exceptional communication skills with strong verbal, written, and presentation proficiency. 
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
