Senior Associate: Gift, Trust, & Estate

Our Next Gen team is seeking a skilled professional to focus on the compliance aspects of our high net-worth clients. This role involves thorough review of trust, gift, and estate tax returns, with a particular emphasis on Form 706, to meet critical deadlines and maintain the highest standards of accuracy and legality. What you’ll be doing:

You will engage in the detailed review of trust and gift tax returns, with a specialized focus on estate returns and Form 706. You will manage multiple projects with precision, adhering to strict timelines while ensuring compliance across various states and changes in beneficiaries.

Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively will be crucial to your success. As you collaborate with leaders across the firm, they will look to your expertise in delivering accurate and high-quality results. You will serve a diverse group of business owners with successful backgrounds in a variety of industries.

What you’ll need for this position:

• 3+ years of experience in tax accounting
• Experience reviewing Forms 706, 709, and 1041, with an ability to handle complex, multi-state issues and changes in beneficiaries
• Ability to navigate financial statements, tax returns, and other legal documents
• Demonstrated success in building and managing professional relationships
• Exceptional organizational skills to navigate complex projects and deliver results within strict timelines
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex tax concepts to staff and clients
• Curiosity to go beyond the textbook, asking hard questions and using technical skills to provide solutions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel

Compensation: In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 - 95,000.

Remote Eligibility: This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at a Pinion office or attendance at offsites, as requested/required by the firm and/or your supervisor.
