Job Highlights:
- Contract type: Independent Contractor
- Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm Central with an hour unpaid break
Responsibilities
• Support construction projects from inception to completion, overseeing budgets, subcontractors, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate preconstruction activities, bid preparation, and project timelines.
• Track project progress, milestones, and budget, identifying and addressing risks and issues as they arise.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, laborers, and materials to ensure timely project progress.
• Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues or delays to keep the project on track.
• Manage project schedules, scope of work and inspections required by governing agencies.
• Use project management software to maintain task lists, update project status, and generate progress reports.
• Maintain project documentation, organize files, and facilitate effective communication among subcontractors and vendors.
• Financial management of project (estimating, negotiation of change orders, cost tracking, and closeout).
Required Skills & Experience
• 4 to 6 years of construction/project management experience or equivalent education.
• Proficiency in project management software/systems and Microsoft Office 365.
• Effective communication skills with subcontractors, vendors, and government partners.
• Proficiency in preparing and tracking project timelines and budgets.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt in a dynamic business environment.
• Team player willing to work in a fast-paced environment in a growing small business.
Ideal Candidate Skills & Experience
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and civil plans and understand building materials and methods.
