Job description

Overview: 

The IT Support Specialist position is a hybrid role located in Oneonta, NY.  This position will be providing technical support, managing IT systems, and ensuring smooth operations across various departments at Unrivaled Sports remotely while also supporting our Cooperstown All Star Village location on site.  It is a full-time, hybrid in-person/remote position with up to 10% travel required.

Responsibilities:

User Support:

  • Assisting end-users with technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical problems through remote support tools, phone, or in-person assistance.
  • Logging, tracking, and prioritizing support requests in a ticketing system to ensure timely resolution.
  •  Maintaining accurate records of issues and solutions, updating user manuals, and creating knowledge base articles.
  • Assisting with connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi and network configurations.
  • Gathering user feedback to identify areas for improvement in IT services. 
  • Providing guidance and training to users on software and hardware usage.

 

Hardware Maintenance / Installation: 

  • Configuring and setting up new hardware (computers, printers, peripherals) and ensuring they are operational.
  • Installing and updating software applications and operating systems on user devices.
  • Keeping track of IT assets, including hardware and software licenses.
  • Working with other IT staff, various departments, and third parties to implement solutions and improve overall service delivery.
  • Coordinate component recycling

 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field
  • Proficiency in in Windows and macOS
  • Understanding of network concepts including TCP/IP and DHCP
  • Minimum of 3 years in an IT support role 
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn processes and quickly adapt to changes in a growing company

Preferred:

  • Understanding of ticketing systems (ConnectWise, JIRA)
  • Experience with technology in a sports setting

Special Physical Requirements of the Job/Working Conditions: You may be required to lift up to 30 lbs., may be exposed to dust/dirt at the complex, and may be exposed to extreme hot temperatures
