Overview:

The Sr. IT Staff Product Manager – Finance role is responsible for building and leading LEGENCE’s enterprise strategy and capabilities. This individual will partner with business units on the prioritization and execution of capability development initiatives to realize business goals. This individual will drive our IFS ERP Finance and relevant integration functions as a thought leader including requirements gathering, roadmap prioritization, and collaboration with business and IT engineering departments to deliver best-in-class solutions. The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting and implementing IT Finance solutions

You will be working with our ERP standard software IFS Applications™ and bridging the gap between the customer’s business requirements and the application. You will consult, challenge and advise our customers on how to best utilize IFS’ solutions in relation to their business requirements

This role demands advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and communicates with a diverse set of stakeholders (employees and management) and partners in a manner that breaks down complex challenges into actionable steps that drive results. This individual leads as a team player who is able to build trust and establish strong working relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the product vision, roadmap, and prioritization of features against business needs, technology imperatives, and industry standards.
  • Document vision, business requirements, and functional design for system improvements and Finance projects working with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and the engineering teams.
  • Specify and maintain requirements artifacts including: Context Diagrams, Process and Workflow Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Use Case Models, and Use Case Specifications.
  • Conduct research to determine whether solutions to business/technical requirements currently exist within or outside the business unit, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible.
  • Manage the training solution delivery model, which may include providing training to users on new functionality, giving refresher courses on existing functionality, and updating training materials.
  • Oversee testing of new functionality as part of User Acceptance Testing.
  • Provide critical thinking and facilitate discussions needed to drive outcomes and results to meet project goals by serving as cross-work stream SME and escalation point.
  • Responsible for owning follow ups and closing gaps related to overall project approach, design issues, project execution tasks and issues; take ownership of assigned gaps; work with team to resolve and present findings.

  • Rolling up your sleeves and digging in, seeking to understand customer business requirements and creatively translate them to system requirements.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and sharing your expertise to your colleagues and customers.
  • Developing solution concepts, optimizing and implementing end-to-end processes and functionalities based on best practice approaches.
  • Communicates with stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Responsible for making adjustments or recommended enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area
  • Good at guiding our customers in how to best utilize the IFS applications in relation to their business requirements.
  • Confident in designing solutions, challenge and advise customers, and deliver on expectation thus ensuring success for both parties.
  • Triggered by the contrast of understanding the business objectives and end-to-end processes, as well as digging down in details to achieve the best possible solution
  • Profoundly interested in how systems can support business processes

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS, MS, preferably in a technology-related, accounting or finance field
  • 8+ years of experience working in the Finance and Information Technology Departments, or experience working in a Professional Services Company implementing Financial applications.
  • Knowledge of GAAP required.
  • Proven ability to
    • Efficiently assist Business Users with their technology challenges. This may include providing change management activities, application support, capturing requirements for potential customizations and executing the SDLC for these customizations, etc.
    • Execute IT Processes providing Production Support and/or the SDLC for periodic system implementations/upgrades.
    • Translate business requests into organized, clear and concise business requirements and document workflows and processes
    • Query, analyze, and interpret data and functionality problems in complex computer systems
  • 3+ years’ experience with IFS ERP
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of global stakeholders—both technical and business users
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of social intelligence
  • Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • MS Power Platform experience (advanced report consumer with some report development experience)
  • Above average skills in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Professional designations (CPA, CMA, PMP, etc.) and/or Applications Certifications (Oracle, SAP, etc.) a bonus.
  • Construction experience preferred
