Job Description

We are looking for an IT Vendor Manager to join our growing team! in this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing relationships with technology vendors. You will be involved in evaluating vendor performance, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that vendor services meet organizational needs and standards. You will work closely with IT teams, procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure that vendor solutions are cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with the organization's strategic goals.

As an IT Vendor Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Establish a vendor strategy plan
  • Partner with Brightspeed Procurement on vendor engagement
  • Serve as the liaison and escalation point with top vendors and Brightspeed IT leaders
  • Lead vendor monthly performance reviews meetings
  • Manage vendor issues and action plans
  • Maintain forecasts of labor and software spend
  • Partner with Finance on managing vendor spend
  • Work with Brightspeed leaders to assist them with procuring vendors or software
  • Support vendor negotiations
  • Plan future years vendor spend

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), ITIL) are a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in IT vendor management, procurement, or a related role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in contract management and vendor performance tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Knowledge of IT services and technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Proactive and able to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships
  • Adaptability to a dynamic and fast-paced environment
