About This Role
The Senior Manager, Acquisitions supports ChildFund’s mission by developing and executing strategies for acquiring sponsors within the entertainment and event industry. The Senior Manager cultivates and maintains relationships with artists and influencers and helps ChildFund develop and grow its entertainment industry channel for sponsor acquisition.
Required Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, public relations, or other relevant field.
- At least eight years of experience in marketing, including at least three years of experience in sales, promotions, contract negotiations, and relationship management.
- Demonstrated experience cultivating relationships in the entertainment industry with a proven network of existing relationships within artist representation.
- Marketing leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in child sponsor acquisition is preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual fiscal revenue goals for new child sponsorship acquisitions.
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans and budgets in the Sponsorship department.
- Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with new and existing artists, managers, agents, speakers, industry peers, and tour representatives.
- Lead the management of vendor relationships with artists, tour producers, creative vendors, speakers, and tour representatives.
- Lead the negotiation of contracts with new and existing artists and other vendors.
- Support artists and spokespersons with ChildFund resources, including delivering presentations during sponsored events and tours.
- Oversee the development of event materials, including videos, booths, and digital media, and guide the collection and use of presentation content and collateral materials.
- Support the management and warehousing of day-to-day supplies for artists and tours, including ordering, receiving, shipping, and/or delivering supplies.
- Coordinate and organize speakers, volunteers, and representatives as needed for events and tours.
- Actively develop and pursue new channels and opportunities for child sponsorship acquisitions.
- Provide leadership to and liaise between internal departments and meet regularly with Face 2 Face and Digital teams on collaborative projects.
- Stay up to date on technological innovation that may enhance child sponsorship acquisition efforts.
- Travel frequently, domestically and internationally, to build and nurture artist relationships, support and monitor tours, and evaluate contractor implementation activities at scheduled events.
