What You’ll Be Doing…
Verizon Value is seeking an experienced communications professional to manage public relations and employee communications.
Responsibilities will include:
Overseeing PR for key Verizon Value brands including Straight Talk, Visible, and Total Wireless, as well as collaborating with Verizon Value’s Head of Communications on the holistic PR strategy for the entire Value portfolio of brands.
Creating and executing thoughtful PR plans that align to the above brands’ product launches and business goals, and strategically align with wider company priorities.
Ensuring PR plans work hard for us internally and externally, generating employee excitement and engagement and industry recognition
Maintaining a steady drumbeat of press coverage for all Value brands and executives.
Managing crisis and cyber communications across brands, understanding each brand’s nuanced approach.
Pitching Verizon Value’s C-suite and brand initiatives to press, high-profile speaking engagements, and award nominations.
Developing compelling brand and executive narratives, to be used both internally and externally.
Developing communication tools including press releases, key messages, FAQs, etc.
Collaborating with regional partners to amplify priority local initiatives on a national scale (i.e. new store openings).
Managing a wide variety of stakeholders (cross-functional executives, marketing, social, etc) to ensure an integrated approach to all campaigns and launches and maximize impact.
Supporting Verizon Value’s Head of Employee Communications in developing and implementing communications tactics that enhance the Verizon Value culture, engage our employees, inspire enthusiasm for Verizon Value priorities and values, and inform and strengthen the employee community.
Providing support for Verizon Value-owned internal events including leadership summits and all-employee conferences.
Managing agency partners.
Managing a Public Relations and Communications budget.
What we’re looking for….
You’ll need to have:
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and / or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience in creation of executive presentations.
Strong experience in media relations, speaking engagements and award submissions.
Experience working with C-level executives.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Agency experience.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Excellent relationships with key media across press and events.
Excellent collaboration skills and investment in the success of the team.
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to craft content in a variety of formats while conveying a consistent voice.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to deliver clear presentations and POVs.
Excellent skills at Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite
Strong project management skills demonstrated by a history of on-time and on-budget launches; deadline-oriented.
Hands-on experience using analytic and tracking tools for employee engagement; metrics driven.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $109,000.00 and $202,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
