Job description

PRO IS, Inc. currently has an exciting Cash Allocation Analyst position available within our Reinsurance Accounting Team. This role would suit highly motivated, energetic candidates who are looking for a great opportunity.    

 

The Cash Allocation Analyst will support our clients with their cash management responsibilities.  This employment position is expected to last at least thru year end, with the potential for extension on this or other projects after that.   The position comes with insurance, 401k, and time off benefits.  This is a remote position however candidates must be able to work in the client’s office in midtown NYC on an as needed basis in the future.  

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Data extraction and consolidation
  • Manage cash receipts, post and allocate cash with appropriate balances
  • Cash collection, allocation and reconciliation
  • Treaty and Facultative Cash Management activities
  • Maintain Accounts Receivables and Payables
  • Account Reconciliation
  • Assist ceded accountants in creation of payments and disbursement preparation with supporting documentation for review/submission to the cash team.
  • Assist ceded accountants in creation of treaty balance sheet roll-forwards; data pulls from system and bank statement consolidation.
  • Clear offsets
  • Follow up with clients to clarify queries and obtain missing information
  • Support with month/quarter-end close activities and reporting and ad hoc projects


Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience, paired with 1-2 years’ work experience
  • Reinsurance/Insurance experience preferred
  • Cash management experience, at an insurer or reinsurer, is a plus
  • Reconciliation knowledge
  • Analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail and highly organized
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Proficient in Power Point and Word; experience with SAP FS-CD and SQL a plus
  • Strong team player and communicator, both written and verbal
  • Understand the clients’ needs and proactively look for ways to meet them
