Description

As Legal and Judicial agencies transition to a technology-driven workflow, VIQ Solutions stands as a leader in providing transcription services across various industries. We are currently seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract candidates with significant expertise in transcribing depositions and hearings. This is a 100% remote opportunity for Independent Contractors.

The content to be covered includes depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings, requiring intense attention to detail. Familiarity with legal terminology and excellent grammar are essential, as you will process audio recordings while adhering strictly to style guides to produce verbatim transcripts. Candidates will have the flexibility to set their own schedules and receive guidance from our supportive in-office team as needed. Work is available 24/7/365, and those with weekend availability are encouraged to apply.

Skills Requirements

  • Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
  • Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
  • Ability to collaborate remotely.
  • Typing proficiency in both speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to process extreme audio/text content (content may be offensive).
  • Ability to pass a background check.
