The Role:

The Broker Relations Representative has a pivotal role within our organization that is designed to strengthen and enhance our network of broker partnerships. Specializing in ACA and DSNP programs, the candidate will be charged with cultivating and managing broker relationships, ensuring the alignment of our products with the needs of the communities we serve. This role demands a blend of strategic acumen, industry expertise, and a profound commitment to healthcare excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Membership Goal Achievement: Collaboratively design and implement targeted strategies to achieve or surpass specific membership goals. This will involve assessing market potentials and broker performance and leveraging data analytics to identify areas for growth and expansion.
  • Strategic Partnership Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with brokers, ensuring their needs are identified and met with professionalism and expertise.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on ACA and DSNP products, providing brokers with comprehensive product training, marketing strategies, and sales support to effectively reach and serve our target populations.
  • Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape, translating insights into actionable strategies to enhance broker effectiveness and drive enrollment.
  • Performance Analysis: Track and analyze broker performance metrics, providing feedback and development strategies to optimize productivity and achieve enrollment targets.
  • Compliance and Integrity: Ensure all broker activities adhere to state and federal regulations, maintaining the highest standards of ethics and compliance.

Qualifications & Education:

  • 3 to 5 years experience in the healthcare or sales industry in a commission-sales environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with the specific population (dual eligible, Medicaid, Medicare, and ACA Health Plans).
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers, and customers.
  • Will work closely with Sales Director and appointed producers to identify and educate potential members and participate in promotional activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Thorough knowledge of sales techniques and insurance laws/rules, including CMS Medicare rules/practices.
  • Detailed understanding of product complexities with the ability to communicate and negotiate with various parties.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong business and community relationships.
  • Proven success in remaining organized and prioritizing work to meet established deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and ability to successfully navigate mobile applications including but not limited to HealthSherpa/Softheon
  • Bi-lingual English/Hispanic speaking is highly preferred.
  • Must have a Health Producer license or become licensed within 90 days of hire to sell insurance (health, life, and disability) in Florida.
  • Must also complete annual FFM and Medicare certifications
  • 30 % local travel throughout the years in an around the South Florida area.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, car insurance and reliable transportation.
