£50k-£60k Basic plus bonuses/commission - OTE £100k

Our Client

Our client is a leading commercial installation electrical contractor in London, renowned for working on prestigious and high-end commercial projects. With an extensive history of repeat business and a current turnover of £5m, our key client is looking to grow to £8m in the coming years.

Our clients’ projects include iconic sites including prestigious government buildings, tier 1 banks, high-security premises, and more. As these projects are confidential, more details will be released before the interview.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive and charismatic Business Development Manager to join our highly reputable, key client. This critical role will involve getting to know all current clients and expanding our network. You will have the autonomy to engage with clients, both professionally and socially, to build strong, lasting relationships. This role is essential for driving our business growth and shaping our future success.

Our client’s goal is to increase turnover to circa £8m in the next 3 years, which will be incentivised by share options and a lucrative commission scheme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and they remain satisfied with our services.
  • Networking: Actively participate in networking activities to expand our client base and strengthen existing relationships.
  • Business Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth, aiming to increase our turnover to £8m.
  • Client Engagement: Organise and attend client meetings, events, and social activities to foster strong, trusting relationships.
  • Market Research: Keep abreast of industry trends and market conditions to identify potential business opportunities.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement business growth strategies.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within the electrical contracting or construction industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong networking abilities and a passion for building relationships.
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on achieving business growth targets.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • A deep understanding of the commercial electrical contracting sector is highly desirable.
