About The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Drupal Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating our Drupal 7 and 9 sites, ensuring they are patched and updated to the latest versions. The role requires expertise in writing and troubleshooting custom modules, creating custom solutions tailored to customer needs using Drupal functionality and modules, and managing sites using Git and Docker.

Where you will make an impact

• Perform standard maintenance and patching for Drupal 7 sites.
• Update Drupal 7 sites to Drupal latest.
• Perform standard maintenance and patching for Drupal 9 sites.
• Update Drupal 9 sites to Drupal latest.
• Write, troubleshoot, and debug custom Drupal modules.
• Develop custom solutions to meet customer requirements using Drupal's core functionality, contributed modules, or custom modules.
• Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements.
• Use Git for version control and manage code repositories.
• Utilize Docker for containerization and site management.
• Ensure best practices in coding, security, and performance optimization.
• Conduct regular site audits and implement necessary improvements.
• Provide technical support and training to internal teams and clients as needed.
• Connect, and troubleshoot connections, between Drupal and single sign-on providers. Specifically providers utilizing SAML based authentication.
  
  

What You Will Bring

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Drupal development.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Strong experience with Drupal theming and module development.
• Familiarity with Git for version control.
• Experience using Docker for development and deployment.
• Understanding of Drupal’s hook system and API.
• Knowledge of Drush and Composer.
• Experience with site migrations and updates.
• Understanding of web standards, security practices, and accessibility.
• Understanding of SimpleSAML and other Drupal SSO technologies.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration skills.
• Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of modern web development frameworks and libraries. Experience with React is a plus.
• Experience with other CMS platforms.
• Experience with Solar Search.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Understanding of SEO best practices and accessibility standards.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  
  

Certifications:

Acquia Certified Developer or similar certifications are a plus.
