We are looking for a Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our finance team in Munich as soon as possible.
The role will report directly to the Head of Accounting in Munich.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Processing of a wide variety of accounting transactions
Accounts receivable and accounts payable
Payment transactions, customer service, travel expenses, asset and general ledger accounting
Calculation, posting and maintenance of accruals
Timely and independent preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
Sales tax returns for Germany as well as returns according to §50a EStG (German Income Tax Act)
Processing of statistical reports for authorities
Reporting in accordance with international group guidelines
Support with monthly and quarterly reporting, forecasts
Preparation of the Group's internal statutory reporting for the annual financial statements
Sparring partner for controlling
Essential Skills & Requirements:
Completed commercial training or studies or successfully completed further training as a balance sheet accountant, financial accountant
Strong knowledge of HGB and confidence in closing financial statements
Extensive knowledge of finance and accounting
Very good knowledge of the relevant ERP systems, ideally in dealing with Workday / Salesforce
Enjoys change, new tasks, tools and workflows in an international working environment
Hands-on mentality and high customer and service orientation
Strong analytical and conceptual skills and affinity for numbers
Command of the English language, both written and spoken
Independent, goal-oriented work and a high level of commitment and motivation
