Job description

About the Company:

NorQuant Technology is a FinTech startup rooted in the success of the Norwegian mutual fund NorQuant, which has received a 5-star rating from Morningstar. NorQuant also provides strong backing to the company. After dedicating two years to developing an impressive initial product, NorQuant Technology is now ready to bring it to market and is seeking a self-driven and experienced salesperson to take on the Nordic market.

About the Role:

NorQuant Technology's product, "Prisma," is a fund selection tool designed for financial advisors, asset managers, and pension managers. It integrates data from major sources such as Morningstar, FactSet, FactEntry, and Sustainalytics and combines this with quantitative financial models to provide all the tools and information a wealth manager needs to select the best possible funds for investment, all while being simple and user-friendly.

Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Manager, you will report directly to NorQuant’s CRO and have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand Prisma’s market presence.
  • Conduct prospecting activities to fully cover the territory, build relationships, and manage all open business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with financial advisors, asset owners, and asset managers.
  • Meet with potential and existing clients to drive deals forward.
  • Schedule meetings, conduct presentations, and demonstrate the system at a high level.
  • Navigate client organizations to establish relationships with decision-makers and understand their business and technical needs.
  • Present Prisma’s product advantages, including fund analysis and portfolio creation, to optimally position NorQuant for closing new business.
  • Handle objections, discuss functionality, pricing, and contract issues to close deals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and sales materials.
  • Work closely with the product development team to provide feedback based on client interactions and market trends.

Profile:

NorQuant is seeking a self-driven and experienced Business Development Manager to strengthen their team. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding the company's presence in the Nordics and building a strong pipeline. You have a solid background in financial software sales and a broad network within the financial advisory community in the region.

Your main tasks will involve driving direct sales to financial advisors and asset management companies, with the goal of not just meeting but exceeding set annual sales quotas. Experience and contacts within asset management are highly advantageous. If you are a dedicated salesperson with a passion for achieving success, this role could be the right fit for you.

  • Experience in SaaS software and/or market data sales within the financial sector.
  • Deep understanding of strategic selling with a proven track record of success.
  • At least 6 years of experience selling to senior-level decision-makers.
  • Strongly preferred: Established network within the financial advisory community in the Nordics.
  • Additional contacts with asset owners and asset managers are an advantage.
  • Deep understanding of financial analysis tools, particularly in fund analysis and portfolio creation.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.

Other Details:

  • Location: Remote
  • Start: As agreed
  • Benefits: A 1-year sales training program with Mikael Arndt, including 25 accredited sales courses and weekly live lectures. Additionally, you have the opportunity to participate in Sweden's largest sales event at the Oscarsteatern and a 2-day on-site sales training in Stockholm to further develop your sales skills.
