As an International Business Development Manager, you will represent a pet food brand. Your role is to manage existing distribution clients and add new distributor networks primarily throughout Asia, South America, and other countries (excluding Canada, the United States, and European Union nations). You will be selling to C-Suite Executives. You must have proven experience developing brands in international markets and understanding regional cultural differences related to new business development and account management. You will report to the VP of Sales. The base salary is $130,000 - $140,000 plus bonuses.

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY
• Head Office - Elmira, Ontario
• Work from home with international travel required
• The sales territory is all global markets (excluding Canada, USA, and EU nations).
• Full-time - Monday to Friday
• Some evenings and weekends are required due to international time differences and travel requirements.
EXPERIENCE BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• 5+ years of sales experience selling consumer product goods and developing new distribution channels in international markets is a must-have requirement.
• Experience selling pet food or related products is an asset and preferred.
• Ability to speak Mandarin or a second language(s) is an asset.
• University or College Degree in Business or a related field.

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES
• Actively develop, execute, and support Sales initiatives.
• Creating and/or assisting the VP Sales/GM in creating strategic plans, international marketing strategy development, price and product strategy forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting.
• Customer Account management for sales to all markets, excluding the EU, Canada, and the USA.
• Acting as the primary point of contact between all international distributors.
• Meeting assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market development, and other key financial performance objectives.
• Liaise and manage relationships with key manufacturing partners.
• Providing manufacturing forecasts and creating, implementing, and monitoring sales volume forecasting models, providing such promptly as requested by key third-party partners.
• Collaborating with the VP of Sales/GM to review sales and activity reports and other performance data to measure results against established forecasts/targets for all international markets, determining areas needing corrective action, cost reduction, and/or program improvement.
• Actively procuring, researching, and securing new international market distributors.
• Providing internal and external sales reporting and/or analysis as required.
• Assisting any internal/external parties to ensure product compliance with international government regulations or policies.
• Evaluating market trends and providing recommendations for product development.
• Performing other duties as required.
