The Women's Equality Center (WEC) provides strategic communications and campaign support to the reproductive health, rights, and justice field at all levels, complementing and strengthening the work of organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean via grants, integrated policy and communications campaigns, and rapid-response operations. La WEC currently operates across 8 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Argentina, Chile, and El Salvador, in addition to other regional work.

About The Position
Finance / Accounting
Operations
The Women's Equality Center complements and strengthens the work of organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean to develop long-term and big-picture messaging frameworks around emerging issues and political opportunities linked to reproductive freedom and justice.
### What You'll Do As an Operations team member, the Associate Director, Administration & Finance (Associate Director) will serve as an operational liaison and financial expert working closely with WEC's teams, New Venture Fund (our fiscal sponsor), and our partners across Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Associate Director will have three key areas of responsibility
- Managing the full lifecycle of the grants process (including contracts and vendor engagement). The Associate Director will oversee the logistics of grant spend down, reconciliation, and invoicing
- Providing technical and operational support, in English and Spanish, to WEC's on-the-ground partners ensuring fiscal and legal compliance to grants parameters while also providing broader advice and best practices
- In partnership with the Senior Director Finance & Operations, support budget cycles, develop financial models, and help create workflow improvements across broader operational and financial systems and processes at WEC to ensure cross-functional efficiencies This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, is a resourceful project manager, and brings a commitment to implementing best-in-class systems, processes, and structures that support WEC's work and the reproductive freedom movement across the region.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Grants and Contracts Management
- Support WEC partners and internal WEC teams to ensure all grants protocols and operational policies are executed properly, including
- Creating trainings and workflow improvements to ensure continued compliance and adherence to protocols
- Reviewing all grants, contracts, and vendor agreements ensuring their legal and fiscal compliance
- Managing systems and calendars for coordinating grant applications and renewals, reporting, and other related functions, and ensuring on-time completion of all necessary grant management processes
- Work with WEC partners and internal WEC teams across contract review and management, including
- Ensuring the efficient and timely execution of contracts
- Checking for which legal entity has standing in a contract, if a contract is within budget, and any other flags that relate to executing a new contract (i.e., duplicate contracts, alternative vendors, previous vendors WEC's worked with)
- Maintaining systems for tracking and monitoring contracts including the oversight and execution of contract invoicing processes
- Contribute to successful vendor relationships serving as the contract/vendor information first responder and reviewer/editor for project paperwork
The individual holding this position may also work part-time for a coordinated project, Women's Equality Center Action Fund, in Sixteen Thirty Fund, a 501(c)(4) organization, under a resource sharing agreement between New Venture Fund and Sixteen Thirty Fund. The responsibilities under that position will be overseen by Sixteen Thirty Fund.
Partnership Support
- Serve as an operational contact point to WEC's Latin American and Caribbean partners and vendors providing critical technical and operational assistance
- Liaise with WEC's fiscal sponsor and Program teams to ensure all operational policies are followed, including contracts, grants, and invoice processing
- Manage project timelines and budgets – recording and tracking all expenses – as well as vendor contracts, grants, and invoices
Financial Administration
- Partner with WEC's Operations team, providing support across budgeting, accounting, cash management, and short-term and long-term forecasting
- Establish and execute financial management processes to track monthly financials, cash flow, and provide real-time financial health snapshots
- Improve current processes and systems to best meet the needs of the organization and to ensure financial controls and operational efficiency
- Guide and support colleagues around financial and operational matters with a customer service approach
Who You'll Work With

- You will frequently collaborate across all teams at WEC, as well as New Venture Fund, our fiscal sponsor
- You will support WEC's external program partners and on-the-ground collaborators across Latin America and the Caribbean The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $107,484, based on years of experience and alignment to the necessary skills required for the role.
