Job Description

The SVP of Accounting and Global Controller is a key member of the CFO’s management team. This person will serve as a subject matter expert for the company on IFRS, statutory reporting, tax, transfer pricing, and other accounting matters. The successful candidate will oversee the processes, tools, and technology that provide leadership with valuable insights to support continued growth. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage statutory and IFRS reporting requirements across Miratech’s global entities and oversee external audit, tax, and transfer pricing compliance.
  • Lead the implementation and enhancement of ERP and accounting tools, ensuring scalable accounting processes as the company grows.
  • Ensure efficient payment processing in line with agreements, maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare timely financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) and partner with FP&A on budgets, forecasts, and long-range planning.
  • Develop and transform Accounting capabilities, aligning with strategic goals while enhancing policies, processes, and internal controls.
  • Oversee external accounting, tax, and related services, ensuring service levels and costs meet company expectations.
  • Take ownership of additional responsibilities as needed to support the company’s financial and strategic objectives.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading a multi-national company in a senior accounting or global controller role.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and reporting best practices.
  • A strong foundation in process improvement and automation.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Advanced degree in accounting, finance or relevant field with a CPA, ACCA or other relevant qualification.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking). 
  • Experience in professional services and/or IT- services business is an asset.
  • ERP implementation experience is a plus.
