Job description

Role - Chief of Staff to Global Sales NXP, Global Automotive Sales Coordinator

Job Title: Sr Director

NXP is looking for a Chief of Staff/Global Auto Coordinator whose primary objectives include:

  • Aiding the EVP of Sales in defining the global sales strategy, organizing processes/projects to execute the strategy, and coordinating daily agendas towards this strategy.  Responsibilities include aligning with EVP/RVPs on weekly staff meeting agenda and quarterly Sales MT F2Fs.
  • Leading special projects that may include M&A identification/evaluation, identifying/coordinating responses to global trends/efforts, consolidating regional efforts into a global view, and coordinating with NXP global strategy.
  • Identifying/tracking global trends in global automotive, supporting regional Automotive leads in their broader agenda (key decisions, strategy execution, interface to BLs, etc), coordinating global teams on their pursuit of OEM projects via the T1 network globally, and frequently gathering BU AAES feedback/priorities to execute within Auto Sales team.  

Key responsibilities:

  • Build trusted relationships based with Sales MT staff, BL leadership, Global Auto Sales leaders, NXP strategy team and team members within each region to execute the role’s objectives.
  • Serve as a critical thought partner to EVP, RVPs, and Global Auto Sales leaders using observations and logic driven suggestions to improve the overall NXP global sales strategy and execution.
  • Reinforce Sales MT agenda by highlighting strong examples and coaching/providing clinical feedback to teams when misaligned areas are identified.
  • Coordinate global automotive sales agenda with Global Auto sales leaders, aid in implementing execution on this agenda such as: Auto OEM key project strategy alignment with Tier 1s, Global Auto trends, deep dives into targeted areas including considering strategy changes, and coordinating global auto training or commercial efforts.
  • Lead special projects for EVP and track/drive timely execution on project tasks/initiatives. Exhibit a high degree of detail orientation, clearly capture, drive and track action items; decisions; notes from all departments.
  • Plan, coordinate, and successfully conduct recurring Sales MT meetings, global staff off-sites, summits, and events.
  • Assist Global Sales Marcom and EVP in online presence, intranet sites and dept. advocacy via marketing and communications department.
  • Ability to represent the EVP and the department when & where necessary.
  • Assist/lead in presentation material creation in preparation for critical meetings involving the EVP (MT, board, customer meetings).

Required skills and qualifications.

  • Min. 15 years of successful experience in a business management, semiconductor sales or business development roles
  • Experience in organizing, directing, and influencing multiple teams and departments towards goals accomplishment.
  • Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives and operations management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Versatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient ways of working
  • Balanced understanding of technology, data-informed decision making and overall global businesses
  • Ability to influence and get great results while being calm and collaborative.
  • Willing to travel 25% of the time in role (global travel included).

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Combination of higher education in engineering and business administration (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in data analysis, budget management and emerging technology platforms.
  • Consulting experience, with ability to simplify and explain complex technology, financial and business topics to sales management teams
  • Strong project-reporting skills, with focus on interdepartmental communications
