Job description

FFT Center of Excellence Manager
Position Summary
The FFT Center of Excellence Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation and quality assurance of Functional Family Therapy (FFT) across California. Reporting to the FFT LLC Director of Implementation, this role provides strategic leadership, technical assistance, and stakeholder engagement to ensure high-fidelity delivery of FFT services through provider networks and local systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective project planning, execution, and reporting, while fostering strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including FFT, its partners and other entities.
  • Promote the implementation of FFT across counties and maintaining ongoing support for project operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with providers, referral sources, and key stakeholders in each county.
  • Ensure that all deliverables are met in a timely, accurate, and high-quality manner.
  • Monitor referral flow and develop strategies and plans for addressing obstacles, barriers, and waitlists.
  • Oversee COE administrator tasks to ensure accuracy, timely completion, etc. Provide general model education to stakeholders and referral sources as needed.
  • Review utilization of teams monthly to look for gaps in referral numbers and develop plans to address referral capacity needs.
  • Work with HPFFT providers to support model fidelity and comply with funding requirements.
  • Provide ongoing implementation support meetings for providers for consistency in implementation practice and the achievement of national standards across all teams in the project.
  • Develop regular data reports at multiple levels of the initiative including but not limited to statewide, county level and team level.
  • Provide regular project and budget updates to FFT leadership.
  • Report training and clinical needs to the appropriate directors as situations arise.
  • Serve as a communications bridge between FFT and other entities.
  • Contribute to special projects as needed.
Work Experience and Skills Requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to source referral/program participants, and the interpersonal and cultural competence skills necessary to work effectively with various providers, referral sources, juvenile justice, state policy staff, and stakeholders.
  • Openness to feedback and data-driven accountability.
  • Proven experience in obtaining the buy-in of different stakeholder groups and facilitating collaborative working relationships.
  • Strong organizational and communication skill; program management skills a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years’ implementation experience in a direct service and/or administrative capacity with programs and policies for at-risk adolescents and families.
  • Ability to analyze reports and data for monitoring and reporting.
  • Direct experience with or at least knowledge California's behavioral health landscape including Medi-Cal and BHPs.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster an outcome-oriented approach and support a continuous quality improvement culture.
  • Experience with evidence-based behavioral health programs, preferably FFT.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to foster collaboration and continuous quality improvement.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Canva; familiarity with Teams/Zoom, Power BI preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while actively engaging with a broad network of partners and providing consistent feedback on activities to other staff and directors.
  • Excellent writing abilities without using AI (use of AI is prohibited in this project).
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Education Requirements
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of applicable experience. Master’s degree preferred.

Salary: $70,000 - 110,000

Location: Remote. Required: Must live in the Western United States (PST) or AZ.
