The Content Strategy Manager will play a key role in expanding Workiva’s content engine to support global growth and drive scalable content strategies from development to execution. The Content Strategy Manager will support go-to-market (GTM) efforts, enable audience-focused storytelling, and create measurable impact across the buyer journey. Sitting at the intersection of messaging, narrative development, content execution, and performance optimization, this role connects strategy to results.
The Content Strategy Manager is responsible for ensuring Workiva content effectively reflects our brand, communicates our unique value, and supports pipeline generation. The ideal candidate brings a strong editorial voice, cross-functional collaboration skills, and a data-informed mindset to content planning and optimization.
What You’ll Do
Lead GTM-aligned content strategy planning and execution for key marketing campaigns and initiatives
Partner with product marketing, demand generation, industry experts, and brand teams to develop messaging and narratives that align brand POV to solution messaging
Translate business priorities and audience needs into a content plan that spans formats and funnel stages
Develop content including blogs, thought leadership, video scripts, whitepapers, reports, and customer stories that highlight Workiva’s ability to meet the needs of customers across industries
Drive content performance reporting and insights to optimize asset mix, channel effectiveness, messaging resonance, and refine strategy to elevate Workiva’s content marketing maturity
Partner with subject matter experts to ensure content is technically accurate, relevant, and aligned with strategic themes and business needs
Knowledge of SEO best practices and ability to optimize new and existing content
What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
4+ years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, editorial planning or closely related field
Experience in the B2B SaaS or technology industry
Preferred Qualifications
Strong understanding of integrated marketing campaigns and GTM motions
Experience leading strategic content planning tied to campaign and business goals
Demonstrated ability to translate complex ideas into compelling narratives across content formats
Familiarity with content performance metrics and tools to guide optimization
Strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail and brand alignment
Proven success collaborating across marketing functions, including performance marketing, product marketing, industry experts, editorial, and campaign management
Working knowledge and experience with AI tools to optimize output and performance
Ability to manage multiple priorities with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of content management systems, editorial calendars, and content libraries
Travel Requirements & Working Conditions
Up to 15% travel for internal planning meetings or company events
Reliable internet access for remote work outside a Workiva office
How You’ll Be Rewarded
✅ Salary range in the US: $86,000.00 - $138,000.00✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
