Position Summary

The NetSuite Technical Lead will oversee the full technical development lifecycle of NetSuite solutions, translating functional requirements into scalable, efficient technical designs. This role involves leading customizations, iPaaS integrations, and BI/reporting efforts while guiding developers and collaborating with functional consultants and clients. The ideal candidate brings deep NetSuite technical expertise, strong solution architecture skills, and proven leadership and communication abilities.

What will you do in this role?  

• Lead and oversee all technical design and development activities related to NetSuite, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with NetSuite Functional Consultants and the client to understand functional requirements, existing configurations, and business processes, translating them into clear, comprehensive technical requirements and solution designs.
• Provide guidance and recommendations to implement the end-to-end solution architecture centered around NetSuite.
• Lead the integration design between NetSuite and external systems using Celigo or general API-based integration methods (REST, SOAP).
• Lead the design for BI/data analytics solutions using NetSuite Analytics Warehouse, ensuring data accuracy and performance.
• Identify opportunities to leverage additional tools and technologies, such as enterprise performance management (EPM) and AI, to drive the client’s value in their NetSuite implementation.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of NetSuite developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Interact directly with clients and the delivery team to provide technical status updates, gather feedback, and address technical questions or concerns.
• Estimate effort, define timelines, and manage technical deliverables within projects, ensuring timely delivery of development activities.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within NetSuite and integrated systems.
• Stay current with NetSuite releases, new features, and emerging technologies in the NetSuite ecosystem.
  
   

What do you need to succeed in this role?   

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in NetSuite development.
• 2+ years of experience in a technical lead or senior developer role overseeing other developers.
• Strong understanding of NetSuite data model and architecture.
• Experience with NetSuite APIs (RESTlet, SOAP web services) and SuiteScript 2.1.
• Proven experience designing and implementing integrations using iPaaS platforms or direct API methods.
• Ability to translate functional requirements and business needs into technical specifications and designs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience interacting directly with clients or external stakeholders, project managers, and functional consultants.
• Understanding of accounting and supply chain concepts.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and guide a technical team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• NetSuite certifications a plus.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in a consulting environment.
• NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer Certification.
• NetSuite Administrator Certification.
• Experience with specific iPaaS platforms (e.g., Celigo, Dell Boomi, etc.).
• Experience with other NetSuite customization tools (Workflows, Custom Records, Advanced PDF/HTML Templates).
• Experience with BI reporting. Knowledge of NetSuite Analytics Warehouse is a plus.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is $143,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
