Description

We have an opening for a contract Integration & Career (Job Search Strategy) Coach based in Australia to support our relocation solutions.   We support employees and their spouses/families as they acclimate to new cities, and assist spouses/partners with finding employment/career opportunities in the new area.  

The Coach works in a 1:1 capacity with employees of our client companies who are relocating by using IMPACT Group's technology and coaching methodology.  The coach also supports the spouse or partner of the relocating employee with job search support.

This is a part-time, contract, remote/work from home position, approximately 15 hours per month.

  • Establishes rapport with employees and accompanying spouse/partners.  Motivates them to achieve goals and training on cultural differences and expectations.   
  • Guides accompanying spouse/partners through the coaching process and milestone completion.
  • Advises and coaches on career development, transition issues, and career options.
  • Coaches on CV/résumé writing, effective marketing techniques, interviewing, and negotiating.
  • Maintains electronic service delivery record for each employee serviced, according to the internal guide.
  • Monitors progress of employees, consults with them on integrating into the new area, cross-cultural training, specific subjects to improve their job search skills and knowledge, and deals with personal issues that are affecting their careers.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years experience coaching others in job search. Experience with resume development, interview preparation, career exploration, LinkedIn profiles, networking, negotiation and other aspects of job search coaching.
  • Expat or repat who understands the ups and downs of relocation.  
  • Very strong verbal / written communication skills (bilingual English/French preferred but not required).
  • Able to analyze and appropriately address transitional/integration (relocation) needs, as well as potential cross-cultural challenges. 
  • Ability to engage and foster positive relationships with program participants/clients.
  • Understanding of business and cultural practices within Australia.
  • Currently lives and/or works in Australia.
  • High-speed internet connection on a personal computer; headset with a microphone will be required (remote / work from home).
  • Experience working with international job seekers, including career continuation scenarios, a plus.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline involving the study of human behavior, business or related field preferred.
  • Coaching certificate and training.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Career Coaching, Life/Integration Coaching, Business Coaching, Facilitation, and Cross-Cultural Training experience is ideal.
  • Familiarity with Zoom & MS Teams.
  • Has personally relocated to a different country and repatriated to Australia.
  • Fluently speaks  English and French a plus but not required.
