Job description

In this multi-disciplinary, cross functional role, the Strategic Relations Specialist reports directly to the Senior Director of PBM Relations.  This position provides strategic and tactical direction for initiatives related to the organization’s PBM vendor partnerships while maintaining the company’s vision, values, strategic plan, and financial objectives.  This role is responsible for tracking and managing PBM Strategic Relations key RxBenefits and PBM partner initiatives. In addition, this role will collaborate with internal partners to create best practices for working with PBM vendors. This position requires a strong inter-departmental communication and project management skill set. 

 

Essential Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for aiding in optimizing internal operations that support and guide RxBenefits initiatives to achieve and surpass business goals and objectives
  • Manage large scale initiatives related to PBM relationships, governmental requirements, process and procedure enhancements and other projects as assigned 
  • Aide PBM Strategic Relations Managers in management of ad hoc requests and tracking issues impacting RxBenefits clients. 
  • Track and follow up on cross functional teams’ inquiries requiring PBM input and response 
  • Facilitate regular communications on project status with PBM partners to ensure a thriving working relationship
  • Responsible for ensuring RxBenefits has support of PBM processes and procedures including working collaboratively with cross functional teams to develop, maintain and provide constant improvement.
  • Act as a cross-functional representative of PBM Strategic Relations initiatives to provide insight and further drive organization goals and initiatives  
  • Non-program related project management 
  • PBM log tracking & deliverables 
  • Member impact file prep
  • Escalation process assigning and vetting 
  • Global decision tracking
  • Change management of programs & services
  • PSL clean-up and maintenance
  • Data file management

Required Skills / Experience:

  • 3+ years of professional work experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or health care industry 
  • Well-organized and responsible with strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Expert interpersonal, communication, and collaborative management skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments and think critically
  • Must have exceptional multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Strong team building, relationship management, and project management
  • Process and procedure oriented
  • Ability to perform within a fast paced, rapidly growing organizational environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with PBM vendors in a respectful and meaningful manner to maintain positive relationships
  • Excel/Analytics experience


Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Project coordination experience preferred


Based on relevant market data and other factors, the anticipated hiring range for this role $62,400-$78,000 annually. Final compensation rates will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity considerations. This role is also short-term incentive eligible. Incentive amounts will vary by individual and business goals.
