Position Overview

The Lead Sales Excellence Manager is a functional and strategic business partner within the Commercial Operations team. This position will report into the Commercial Operations team but work closely with sales leadership as well as the rest of the commercial team. The role will drive and execute commercial priorities and initiatives by leading teams of cross-functional commercial and lab team members to deliver the required work. Responsibilities include being the primary communications partner for the sales operations and business operations teams and a strategic partner for sales leadership across the business.
 

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop business plans for initiatives that cut across the function, including creation and adherence to mission/vision and improvements to internal operations.
  • Monitor and report on progress of programs to leadership, including KPIs.
  • Drive execution of field-based advisory programs, pilot programs related to the sales force, and work related to new products or sales channels
  • Partner on strategy and requirements for future enhancements for sales enablement platforms.
  • Create compelling internal and external presentations that leverage data to tell the right story to the intended audience.
  • Prepare communication and research for leadership.
  • Ensure that all internal meetings have a defined agenda and objectives.
  • Utilize strong oral and written communications/presentations, influence and persuasion, results orientation, facilitation, and teamwork skills.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
  • Ability to work designated schedule.
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to travel 25% of working time away from work location; may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Marketing, Life Sciences or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in life sciences, biotechnology, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or medical device field.
  • 2+ years of program or project management experience with demonstrated knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing and reporting financials for a function.
  • Experience working in a matrix management organization.
  • Experience working with sales and marketing functions.
  • Experience with project management or product launches.

Salary Range:

$109,000.00 - $174,000.00

 

The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to be considered for company stock at hire and on an annual basis.
