What You Will Do As A Business Development Manager
Pipeline & Lead Generation
Own and manage all top-of-funnel business development activities including lead sourcing, qualification, and early-stage relationship building.
Develop a consistent pipeline of enterprise prospects through outbound outreach, referrals, strategic research, and CRM tools.
Maintain up-to-date records of all outreach and pipeline activity using CRM platforms.
Market Research & Strategic Targeting
Identify and prioritize high-value prospects in key industries such as utilities, home warranty, and insurance.
Research market trends, competitive positioning, and key decision-makers to inform outreach strategy and tailor messaging.
Contribute to refining the company’s go-to-market (GTM) strategy based on research and field insights.
Collaboration & Sales Support
Partner closely with the Head of Strategic Partnerships to transition qualified leads and support enterprise deal development.
Collaborate with marketing to tailor pitch decks, case studies, and outreach materials for target verticals.
Provide field insights to internal product and operations teams to help shape future offerings and support prospect needs.
Operational Excellence
Build and continuously refine scalable outreach processes and tracking systems to drive business development efficiency.
Track, measure, and report on outreach metrics and lead conversion rates to drive iterative improvement.
What You Will Bring As A Business Development Manager
3+ years of experience in enterprise sales, partnerships, or business development—in home services, insurance, utilities, or B2B SaaS.
Proven experience filling and managing a high-quality sales pipeline; adept at cold outreach and lead nurturing.
Excellent verbal and written communicator—clear, compelling, and adaptable to executive audiences.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a process-oriented mindset.
Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a startup environment.
Known for your hustle, grit, and ability to get things done.
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field.
Experience using modern CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce).
Experience in the utilities, home warranty, home services, or insurance industries.
Exposure to partnerships or sales strategy at an early-stage or growth-stage startup.
Familiarity with utility industry sales cycles and decision-maker dynamics.

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member
Pay Range*: $67,500 - $94,500
*Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.
You will also be eligible to receive sales incentives, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
