About This Team

Work for a dynamic media team dedicated to delivering high-quality podcast content across audio platforms and YouTube. With an expanding slate of shows and a growing audience, we’re looking for a hands-on Podcast Producer to join this crew. You’ll work alongside their incoming YouTube marketing specialist—who will mentor you on YouTube best practices, while you take ownership of end-to-end podcast production.

Role Overview

As our Podcast Producer, you will plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of podcast creation and production, ensuring each episode is delivered on time, on brand, and on platform. You’ll collaborate with hosts, editors, and marketers to craft compelling audio and video podcast experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Production:

    • Develop episode outlines, scripts, and production schedules

    • Coordinate guest outreach, booking, and briefing

    • Manage recording logistics (remote and/or in-studio)

  • Production Management:

    • Oversee recording sessions to ensure audio quality and performance standards

    • Liaise with audio/video engineers to capture raw tracks

  • Post-Production Oversight:

    • Review/edit rough cuts for flow, clarity, and style

    • Ensure consistent audio leveling, noise reduction, and mixing quality

    • Upload finalized episodes to hosting platforms (e.g. Libsyn, Anchor)

  • YouTube Coordination:

    • Work with the team to adapt audio episodes into YouTube-optimized content

    • Provide feedback on video edits, chapter markers, and metadata

  • Publishing & Distribution:

    • Schedule and publish episodes across podcast directories (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, etc.)

    • Upload and optimize YouTube episodes (titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails)

  • Quality Assurance & Analytics:

    • Conduct QA checks on published episodes (links, artwork, show notes)

    • Monitor performance metrics (downloads, watch time, engagement) and report insights

  • Process Improvement:

    • Maintain and refine production workflows, checklists, and style guides

    • Identify and implement tools or techniques to streamline production

Qualifications & Skills
  • Must-Have:

    • 2+ years’ experience producing and managing podcasts end-to-end

    • Comfortable with both audio platforms (e.g. Libsyn, Anchor) and YouTube workflows

    • Strong project-management skills and attention to detail

    • Excellent communication and coordination abilities

  • Nice-to-Have:

    • Familiarity with audio-editing software (Adobe Audition, Audacity, etc.)

    • Basic video-editing knowledge (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)

    • Understanding of RSS feeds, metadata, and podcast SEO

Why Join this team?
  • Collaborate with passionate hosts, editors, and marketers

  • Opportunity to shape and grow our podcast network

  • Mentorship from a YouTube marketing expert

  • Flexible, remote-friendly environment
