Through an Employer of Record (EOR), we are looking for a new Global HR Benefits and Leave Administrator (or Sr. Benefits and Leave Administrator as we call it!) in India to join our growing Payroll, Benefits, and Compliance Team in our HR Department. This individual will report into our Benefits and Compliance Manager and support our benefits and leave functions by responding to employee inquiries about company benefit programs, initiating employee leave conversations, processing paperwork, and maintaining and organizing department files. This individual will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, supporting international employees, and enhancing our benefits processes through collaboration and continuous improvement. Role Type: Full-Time

Location: Remote from India

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time

Base Salary: $12,500 – $15,500 USD per year 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Benefits Administration
    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding company benefit programs and policies in a confidential and timely manner.
    • Provide support for administrative activities related to group benefit plans, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), Life Insurance, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), FSA, COBRA, LTD, STD, and other benefits as needed.
    • Collaborate with the Benefits Specialist to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for benefits policies and programs.
    • Manage vendor premium payments and reconciliation of such premiums to payroll system deductions.
  • Leave Management
    • Support employee leave programs by initiating leave discussions and processing leave paperwork.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate employee leave records and analyze trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, PFL, STD, LTD, and other applicable legal, state, and federal regulations.
    • Work with the Leave Specialist to develop SOPs for leave policies and programs.
  • Process Improvement
    • Apply a continuous improvement approach to benefits and leave administration, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations related to benefits, leave, and employment policies.
  • Administrative & Special Projects
    • Organize and maintain human resources files, documents, and records.
    • Participate in special projects and perform other HR-related administrative duties as needed.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of experience in US-based benefits and leave role
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to maintain a professional demeanor
  • High degree of integrity and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing sensitive data
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Resourceful self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint
  • High-level proficiency of written and verbal communication in English
