Job description

Linklaters employment and incentives practice is expanding and looking for a motivated new graduate or experienced trainee to join its Milan based team in the position of Trainee in the Employment team.

Our employment and incentives practice advises international and Italian clients on all aspects of employment, pension and labour law, with a focus on top managers' employment contracts and terminations, retention arrangements, remuneration structures, works councils and unions' relations, collective redundancy procedures, as well as any transaction-related employment law. The team also deals with contentious work, especially high value executives and managing directors' termination cases.

The applicant must have the desire to work within an international environment of excellence, where he/she will have the opportunity to collaborate in the most interesting matters with the highest calibre of lawyers. As part of a global and large practice, teamwork is vital and you will often work alongside with colleagues in our overseas offices.

The ideal candidate should have a passion and desire to learn, be enterprising, flexible, available, accurate and able to work in a team. The successful candidate is required to have graduated from an Italian University with high grades and a proficiency level in English.

Key requirements:

  • Excellent academic credentials from an Italian University (please include the list of exams). Abroad or specific education in Labour law will be assessed positively;
  • Proficiency level in English;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills;
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel);
  • Attitude to use and develop legal tech tools and innovation mindset;
  • Previous Intern experiences in a law firm would be a plus.
