Raytheon is seeking a strong candidate to lead a team of Commodity Strategists as the Associate Director - Computer HW/SW.  This position will manage medium and high complexity strategy and sourcing of high-end computer mainframes, servers, software, and systems designed specifically and dedicated to critically integrate into major programs with products sold to government customers. This lead role  will operate as the focal point interface to lead communications and large value agreements between RTX OSC Sourcing, RTX Enterprise Services Digital Technology, Raytheon Programs, and primary Computer Hardware OEMs, distributors, and service providers. This role can be located in a variety of Raytheon Raytheon hub locations and is Remote. 

What You Will Do:

  • Lead a team of Commodity Strategists and Sourcing Professionals with capabilities to provide dynamic leadership, strategy development / deployment, strategic sourcing, commodity strategy / management, business acumen, strategic alignment, with a key emphasis on team-building, customer support, and communications / engagement.   Also lead team to manage supplier interaction, selection, collaboration, and management with internal cross-functional teams and RTX supply chain
  • Select qualified suppliers using the RightSource process and seek alternate suppliers.
  • Manage Suppliers to meet Program and factory requirements with the desired quality and delivery.

The position will require ability to meet in Raytheon facilities, as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
  • Experience as a people leader 
  • Strategy development experience / skills 
  • Leadership skills with experience leading groups outside of immediate organization 
  • Experience in leading formal negotiations (price, schedule, and supplier exceptions to contractual flow down requirements, as well as standard Terms and Conditions)
  • Experience with DoD procurement/subcontract compliance with Public Laws, Policies, Federal
  • Experience with Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), and ITAR and import/export requirements
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Understanding of Raytheon Standard Work / supply chain processes 
  • Knowledge and experience of strategic sourcing in Computer HW/SW space
  • Track record of capturing strategic alignment across misaligned organizations / stakeholders 
  • Experience with sourcing and supplier management in non-product commodities
  • High-level problem solving and dispute resolution skills 
  • IT skills and navigate though Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Email applications 
  • Presentation skills (written / oral) 
  • Able to perform effectively in a multi-functional team 
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite of Products
  • Prior experience with multiple subcontract types including but not limited to Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Material (T&M), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF)
  • Experience with reading and understanding drawings, specifications and other engineering or requirement documents including complex SOWs
  • Strong procurement experience and understanding of US government compliance requirements.
  • Experience with proposals from prospective suppliers and analyze cost/price, technical capability, and financial viability, conducting investigations to ensure ability to perform within cost and schedule
  • Knowledge of EXIM procurements and all the rules and regulations involved in those situations
  • Strong verbal and written communications

This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
