Hi there!
Join us as a People Business Partner, where you'll have the opportunity to solve meaningful problems, support leaders in navigating team decisions, and help shape how we operate as a PBP/ER team. This role is perfect for someone with 5+ years of experience in HRBP or PBP roles, and who’s eager to leverage AI and automation to amplify the PBP/ER team’s impact. You'll bring an experimental mindset and hands-on experience with AI tools, enhancing our processes and boosting team efficiency. Your ability to bring structure to complexity—connecting insights to practical, scalable processes—will be key as we align our team’s work with broader business priorities.
In this role, you’ll be a strategic people business partner to leaders in our Build organization, supporting org design, coaching, team effectiveness, and performance. You’ll also play a key role in helping the PBP/ER team work smarter—using tools like Zapier and AI-enabled systems to test and improve how we operate. If you’re someone who’s comfortable in a fast-changing environment, values autonomy and ownership, and enjoys building systems as much as building relationships—this role could be a great fit.
You have 5+ years of experience as a PBP/HRBP, working closely with senior leaders to support their teams.
You’ve partnered with technical teams (engineering, product, design) and understand their pace, operating norms and challenges.
You embrace an AI and Automation mindset, always on the lookout for innovative tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
You have proven experience with AI or automation tools to improve and innovate workflows
You know how to build trust with senior leaders, balancing business needs with employee experience and doing both with sound judgment.
You're data-savvy, turning engagement surveys and people metrics into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
You navigate complex situations with sound judgment and empathy, ensuring both individual and business needs are met.
You communicate with clarity and confidence, tailoring your message to influence diverse audiences.
You know how to get things done in writing—not just clearly, but persuasively. You use written communication to influence, align, and drive action across teams and leaders.
You’ve led or contributed to org design and workforce planning, helping shape how teams scale and evolve.
You’ve supported change management efforts, helping leaders and teams navigate transitions effectively.
Lead the charge in leveraging AI and automation to revolutionize PBP/ER team workflows, making processes more efficient and impactful.
Work directly with senior leaders to support org design and team changes, ensuring decisions align with business goals and team effectiveness.
Analyze people metrics and engagement data, and translate insights into strategic actions that improve team health and performance.
Partner with Centers of Excellence to design and roll out people programs that are useful, relevant, and well-connected to the needs of the business.
Test and build innovative workflows using tools like Zapier, ensuring our processes are cutting-edge and efficient.
Advise on complex people challenges, offering thoughtful, timely support that balances empathy with sound judgment and business context.
Develop strong, trusted relationships with leaders and stakeholders, becoming a reliable partner who understands both people and business needs.
Stay flexible and solutions-focused in fast-changing environments, helping the team navigate ambiguity and make progress even when the path isn’t clear.
Communicate clearly and with influence, making sure your insights are understood and help shape decisions at all levels.
At Zapier, we believe that diverse perspectives and experiences make us better, which is why we have a non-standard application process designed to promote inclusion and equity. We're looking for the best fit for each of our roles, regardless of the type of companies in your background, so we encourage you to apply even if your skills and experiences don’t exactly match the job description. All we ask is that you answer a few in-depth questions in our application that would typically be asked at the start of an interview process. This helps speed things up by letting us get to know you and your skillset a bit better right out of the gate. Please be sure to answer each question; the resume and CV fields are optional.
Education is not a requirement for our roles; however, if you receive an offer, you will need to include your most recent educational experience as part of our background check process.
After you apply, you are going to hear back from us—even if we don’t see an immediate fit with our team. In fact, throughout the process, we strive to never go more than seven days without letting you know the status of your application. We know we’ll make mistakes from time to time, so if you ever have questions about where you stand or about the process, just ask your recruiter!
