QUANTITATIVE TRADING ANALYST (DAY-EVENING SHIFTS) (F/M/D)

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Supply Planning division of Ignitis, where you’ll be responsible for contributing and supporting the power trading team by developing new quantitative trading strategies and making a forecast. You will work in day (08:00-17:00) and evening (16:30 - 00:30) shifts every other week. Day shifts will include analysis/strategy developing tasks, evening shifts will concentrated to intraday trading. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!

You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:  

• Contributing towards developing new quantitative trading strategies, building and validating statistical models to forecast power generation and consumption
• Supporting the power trading team with data extraction and transformation tasks from various sources
• Supporting the power trading team with quantitative analysis projects
• Preparing power trading reports and reporting tools

• University degree (Econometrics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer science, Physics or a closely related field)
• Practical experience with one or more of the following: Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn), SQL, C#, Julia
• Proactiveness, responsibility, collaboratives and attentiveness to details
• Great communication skills in English (writing and speaking)

 Would be an advantage: 

• Code versioning using Git and workflow management tools like Apache Airflow
• Sound knowledge of statistics and statistical modelling methods like regression, decision trees, boosting, bagging 
• Eagerness to learn new coding skills and energy market specifics
