As an Instructional Coach at Out Teach, you’ll be at the forefront of our bold strategic plan to unlock student potential through real-world learning experiences. You won’t just support teachers, you’ll empower them to take their classrooms outside and bring science to life in ways that are engaging, equitable, and lasting. 


Our Strategy, Your Impact: 

From 2025 to 2028, Out Teach is doubling down on what works: supporting teachers, expanding access, and embedding outdoor experiential learning into the fabric of school culture. Our strategic goals include: 

  • Growing the number of high-impact teachers with the tools and confidence to teach science outdoors. 
  • Improving academic outcomes by integrating real-world learning experiences into the core curriculum. 

 

As a Coach, you’ll play a pivotal role in all these goals, working shoulder-to-shoulder with educators to co-plan lessons, model dynamic instruction, and build enduring partnerships that outlast any single training day. 


Candidates selected will become part of Coaching Corps, working with Out Teach on an as-needed basis. We welcome applications from remote and in-person candidates. Our in-person locations include:

  • Dallas/Fort Worth, TX 
  • Denver, CO 
  • Los Angeles, CA 
  • Seattle, WA 
  • Washington, DC 
Requirements

What You’ll Do: 

  • Facilitate meaningful, hands-on professional learning and job-embedded coaching, whether that be virtual or in person. 
  • Guide teachers on best practices for facilitating cross-disciplinary teachings outdoors, leading with science. 
  • Coach teachers on how to design and deliver lesson plans using the 5E instructional model across a range of STEM content areas. 
  • Embed outdoor learning into school culture and collaborate closely with teachers and Out Teach to deliver transformational results. 

Who You Are: 

  • A seasoned educator with at least five years of elementary teaching experience, including three years of real-world learning outdoors.  
  • A skilled instructional leader and coach, or potential to be one, who can inspire teachers and build strong, professional relationships. 
  • Flexible, mission-driven, and ready to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment where innovation is not just welcomed - it’s expected. 
  • Relationship-oriented individual with a growth mindset and see challenges as learning opportunities.

Salary Description
$25 - $38 per hour
